Joy of the Lord

God has warned us that Satan is a liar and the father of lies. So why is it that we too often consider what Satan whispers in our ear as absolute truth? We trust in his lies instead of rejecting them. We trust Satan’s words rather than what God has told us. (John 8:44-45)

When we don’t trust God, we give Satan power over our circumstances and our lives. And we don’t operate within the authority our Heavenly Father has given us. We miss out on allowing the Spirit of God to work through us.

God gave us the power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy. Therefore, we don’t have to be defeated, joyless, and lacking peace, but rather basking in our Heavenly Father’s love. And resting in the comfort of His peace. (Luke 10:19)

The joy of the Lord is your salvation. Trust Him rather than getting caught up in the web of Satan’s deceit. Cast down every vain imagination that tries to exalt itself above the knowledge of Jesus Christ. (2 Corinthians 10:4-5)

Trust in God’s truth rather than Satan’s false truth. Stand firm against the enemy’s schemes. And know that God’s word is absolute truth and always leads to victory. (2 Timothy 3:16-17)

Prayer: Lord, thank You for Your truth. Help me always to believe what You say above anything the devil whispers in my ear. Lead and guide me with Your almighty word. In the name of Jesus Christ, amen.
