Two Ears

Prayer is essential. It provides a way for us to communicate with our Heavenly Father. It’s a time that we can share with Him our concerns and seek His wise counsel. It allows us to build our faith and trust in Him as we spend time in His presence. (2 Corinthians 12:8-9)

During prayer, we have to have balance. We can’t dominate the conversation by talking nonstop. But instead, lend an ear so that we can hear from our Father. Something to think about is that we have one mouth and two ears. Could it be that we should spend double the amount of time listening than we do talking? (1 Thessalonians 5:16-19)

Take time to spend time with our Father just as you would with a loved one or friend. He cares for you and longs to spend one-on-one time with you. The more time you spend in His presence, the more He will manifest His presence in your life. What are you waiting for? (Matthew 6:6)

Prayer: Lord, thank You for always being available to talk to me. As I spend time with you, manifest Your presence. Open my spiritual ears so that I hear Your voice. In Jesus’ name, amen.
