Move The Heart Of God

Prayer is a conversation with the Lord. He already knows what we need before we ask, so we don’t have to convince Him. We don’t have to beg Him. Nor do we have to manipulate Him. That’s right! We don’t have to make promises to Him that we’ll do a certain thing if He does what we ask. (Matthew 6:8)

When we pray, we don’t have to babble on and on. Neither do we have to repeat ourselves over and over again. Babbling and repeating ourselves doesn’t make our Father hear us better or move any faster. Moreover, we don’t have to pray to be seen by others to make ourselves seem more righteous than we really are because when we do, we’ve received our reward. (Matthew 6:5-7)

God will not give us things that we covet or desire wrongfully, so that’s something else we have to consider when we go to Him in prayer. Sure God gives us some of our wants, but our heart must be in the right place. Remember, our desires cannot be contrary to His character or His word. (Hebrews 13:5

We can go to our Heavenly Father in all sincerity for what we need trusting that He will meet our needs because He will — it’s a promise that He’s made us. Therefore, we have to consider and honestly evaluate what we’re asking when God doesn’t move on our requests. Because the reality is that it may be a want rather than a need. (Philippians 4:19)

Are your prayers going unanswered? Well, we have to consider what prayer is not. Then pray as Jesus has instructed. When we understand and do things His way, the atmosphere will shift. We will move the heart of God and our prayers will be answered in His perfect timing. (Matthew 6:9-14)

Prayer: Lord, thank You for Your goodness and faithfulness. Reveal to me any prayers I need to shift. Teach me how to pray kingdom prayers. In Jesus’ name, amen.
