He’s Faithful

A lot is going on around us, and it can discourage us if we focus on the chaos hour after hour. Therefore, we have to shift our focus to our Heavenly Father and encourage ourselves by thinking about praiseworthy things and things that are of a good report (Philippians 4:8).

We can’t minimize our problems, but they don’t have to overwhelm us and be all we think about. We have to keep them secondary in our thought life because what we elevate above God, in essence, becomes an idol or “god” in our life. And our Father warns us about having any other gods before Him (Exodus 20:3).

God is bigger and more praiseworthy than any circumstance or situation we face. So we can’t allow our thoughts to outshine God. Instead, we should continually remind ourselves what God’s word says about a matter and that He loves us and cares for us deeply. And reflect on how our Father has always brought us through the difficulties that we’ve faced. Remember, He’s faithful.

Prayer: Lord, thank you for Your faithfulness. You are worthy of all praise and honor. Help me to reflect on Your goodness, especially when I face difficulties and disappointment. Teach me how to rest in the safety of Your goodness and Your word. In Jesus’ name, amen.
