Fear Not

Some times we give in to fear and think the absolute worst is going to happen in our situation. We worry about our family, jobs, finances, our health, and what tomorrow will bring. As a result, we can’t truly enjoy life or have the peace God wants to give us — a peace that surpasses all understanding that guards our hearts and minds in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7).

But when we realize that fear is one of the main tactics the devil uses to keep us from moving forward and enjoying the satisfying life God has for each of us. We have an opportunity to turn from fear and turn to God and trust in Him and His faithful love.

Satan desires to pull our focus away from God’s love and faithfulness. Therefore, we have to change our mindset, especially when something terrible happens. We have to rebuke the enemy. Otherwise, we will focus on all of the what-ifs and what could have been’s and fill our lives with worry, anxiety, and hopelessness while the devil steps ups and accuses us before our Heavenly Father (Revelation 12:10).

Trust in God’s faithfulness and His perfect love. There is no fear in love, and perfect love drives out all fear (1 John 4:18). Fear not because God wants us to know just how much He loves us and desires to lead us to victory.

Prayer: Lord, thank You for Your perfect love. Reveal to me Your perfect love for me. Please show me how to cast out all fear.  Teach me how to love others with the heart of Christ. In Jesus’ name, amen.
