Knowing His Voice

When God speaks to us, He doesn’t always give us a detailed explanation of why He’s asking us to do something. No matter how strange or simple it may be, He wants us to trust Him and move in obedience to what He has instructed us to do so that we are victorious in our circumstances. 

With that in mind, our enemy, Satan, is cunning and manipulative, so we can’t allow him to deceive us. We have to know our Heavenly Father’s voice, so a stranger’s voice we will not follow (John 10:5). God always speaks in righteousness. He will never tell us to do anything contrary to His word or character. Our actions should always glorify Him. 

Beware! Satan wants to be the dominant voice in your life. He will derail you and get you off course if you don’t correctly discern the voice. 

So, if you don’t know God’s voice, seek Him, and He will teach you. Just ask Him to help you to hear and know His voice. Understanding that He speaks to us through various ways — such as but not limited to; His word, people, circumstances, visions, dreams, our inner spirit, and wisdom. 

No matter how our Father chooses to speak to you, learn His voice and walk in obedience to His will and His way because, there is victory in knowing  Our Father’s voice. Remember, obedience is better than sacrifice (1 Samuel 15:22).

Prayer: Lord, thank You for Your righteousness. Help me to know and obey Your voice so that I am victorious in every area of my life. In Jesus’ name, amen.
