Peace Of Mind

It’s no wonder the enemy of our soul, the devil, uses his age-old tactic to battle us in our mind. Because, on average, a person has 12,000 to 60,000 thoughts per day, 80% of them are negative, and 95% of that 80% are repetitive according to scientific research published by the National Science Foundation.

So the question becomes, how do we overcome these negative thoughts and have a peace of mind.

Peace will come when our trust is in God and God alone. We have to turn our focus to our Father and realize that we are made in Christ’s image. As His children, we are commissioned to let go of our old way of thinking.  We are to be renewed in the spirit of our minds (Philippians 2:5).

Jesus challenges us throughout the Word to change our thinking because regardless of how many times we read through the Bible if we don’t change our mindset, we will simply impose our opinions and labels on the words we read.

Now make it personal. Do you want to overcome the negative battle in your mind? Do you want peace of mind?

Negative thinking will rob you of your peace. If you want the peace that our Father has for you, surrender to Him fully. Allow His Word to renew your mind, and help you to test and approve what God’s will is for your life, which is pleasing and perfect (Romans 12:2).

God’s Word will reshape your character flaws and attitude. It will readjust your perceptions and judgments. He will build up your faith through His written and spoken Word. God will transform your ideologies to be reflective of His character.

When we do things His way, we will always be victorious.

Prayer: Lord, thank You for Your sovereign Word and wisdom. Please help me to let go of negative thinking. Show me how to focus on things from Your perspective so that my mind is renewed and I am anchored in You.

I needed this uplifting passage…My job will be testing us for Covid. If positive,we are to stay home 2 weeks,no pay, then we are responsible for the recheck before returning. We are there because this is our gift.We are forced to be on the frontline and I think…this is what we get? But God!!I’m praying for negative results for us all-not just me….We rebuke negative thoughts,In the name of Jesus!!
