We’re living in uncertain times right now because of the coronavirus pandemic. It has impacted the world on so many different levels, and it doesn’t discriminate based on ethnicity or socioeconomic class.
We can see that so many people across the world are hurting, afraid, and unsure of their future. And you might even be experiencing some of the same types of emotions.
However, it’s during these types of times that people tend to pull together with a common goal in mind to overcome whatever the challenge might be. Similar to the Jewish people in the book of Esther. See God was at work, but He worked “behind” the scenes to fulfill His promise to Abraham and David. God moved because of the faithfulness and obedience of His people.
So as a believer in Christ, have you considered how you might become God’s hands and feet to express His compassion towards those that are in need or need an encouraging word during these trying times?
It can be something as small as sending a thank you card to your local hospital to let healthcare professionals know that you recognize their sacrifice. Perhaps, picking up a few extra items to drop off at your local food bank.
Whatever it is that you do to help, allow the Holy Spirit to guide you and use godly wisdom because our Father wants the best for us and others, and our safety is important to Him (Psalms 37:3).
Remember, it doesn’t have to be anything big. Besides, it’s sometimes the smallest gestures that are remembered and mean the most. So whatever you do, in word or deed, do it as a representative of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through Him (Colossians 3:17).
Also, trust and obey God, as Esther and the Jewish people did. And watch God work through you and perfectly knit all things together for His glory and our good.
Prayer: Lord, thank You for Your sovereign will. Show me and others Your compassion and mercy during these challenging and uncertain times. Help me to serve as Your hands and feet and express Your kindness and love through me. In Jesus’ name, amen.
Amen. These are times that we are to come together.God created us to correlate with one another.People make the world go round.
