You Are Loved

When we don’t really understand who God is, it’s hard to understand who we are in Him. God doesn’t love us because of who we are and the mistakes we’ve made. God loves us because of who He is. God is love (1 John 4:8). 

Love is patient and kind. Love does not envy and is not boastful. Love is not arrogant and is not rude. Love does not seek its own way. Love is not irritable, and it does not keep a record of wrongs. Love finds no joy in unrighteousness but rejoices in the truth. (1 Corinthians‬ ‭13:4-6‬)

God’s voice does not condemn or shame you, but rather speak to you in love. You aren’t the lies the enemy whispers in your ear. You aren’t the mistakes you’ve made. You aren’t the labels that people have placed on you. But you are who God says you are. You are loved (Romans 5:8). 

Let God be the loudest voice in your life! 

Prayer: Lord, thank You for loving me with an everlasting love. Help me to let go of all the hurtful things people have said to me and the lies the enemy has made me believe. Forgive me for any hurtful things I’ve spoken to or about others. Show me how to express the fruits of love and Your Spirit; patience, kindness, love, joy, peace, goodness, gentleness, faithfulness, and self-control. In Jesus’ name, amen.
