Our enemy wants us to live in the shadow of our guilt. He whispers lies in our ear to convince us that we’re not worthy of our Heavenly Father’s forgiveness and love. But we are not our past mistakes; we are forgiven. Jesus died for our sins and took the weight of sin off of us if we believe.
God loves you more than you can ever imagine (Psalms 103:10-12). Emerge from the shadow of your guilt. Let it go because of what has been done on the cross for you.
The finished work on the cross allows you to walk out of Heaven’s courtroom free. You are innocent of all charges the enemy has brought against you. You have been vindicated. Forgive yourself. Accept what has been freely given to you — God’s Spirit (1 Corinthians 2:12).
Prayer: Lord, thank You that I am forgiven. Help me to understand that once I’ve repented of my sin, I’m no longer condemned. Show me how to let my past mistakes go so that I can be set free and emerge from guilt. In Jesus’ name, amen.

So many times we carry guilt of our past but it is wonderful to be reminded that our Lord has forgiven us, we can walk and live in peace letting go of our past faults and focusing on greatness he has in our future.
