Christ-centered

It’s easy to live by the world standards and serve ourselves. But quite challenging to submit to and serve God and His word. Yes. It’s hard, but not impossible. We simply have to decide to honor and serve Christ with all our mind, heart, and soul above all else. (Matthew 22:36-37)

But realize when we decide to serve God’s purpose, it’s not without reproach. We may lose family and friends because they don’t recognize the new person we have become. And perhaps they cannot relate to our renewed mindset, which is more Christ-centered. (2 Corinthians 5:17)

But it’s not without reward. Remember, the world’s approval is only temporary, but our Heavenly Father’s approval is eternal. So when we love God more than anything else, we have peace when people talk wrong about us and, in some instances, even abandon us. (John 6:27)

Please understand. It’s okay if people walk out of our lives because we still have Jesus who will never leave or forsake us. He is our Comforter. He is our peace and joy. Jesus is our friend and will stick to us closer than a brother. (Proverbs 18:24)

Therefore, like Abraham, pursue the promises of God. Follow His voice. Surrender all that you are for His purpose. And watch Him move mightily in your life. (Genesis 12:1-5)

Prayer: Lord, thank You for Your guidance. Help me to seek Your approval above all else. Open my spiritual eyes so that I can see what’s truly important in my life. In the name of Jesus Christ, amen.
