When we’re waiting for God to move in our situation, it’s easy to lose heart. We tend to focus on our circumstances and surroundings rather than on the power of our Heavenly Father. We allow doubt and frustration to rule our attitude. We let our feelings shape our perspective on things instead of trusting in the goodness of God. (Exodus 34:6)
So why is it that we discount the counsel of God? And we hold on to what our friends and family say about our situation. We give more credence to their opinions instead of choosing to trust our Heavenly Father. Is it out of fear that we’re not worthy enough for God to move on our behalf? Or perhaps it’s because we can’t see our Heavenly Father, and it’s hard to believe in someone we can’t see. (2 Corinthians 5:6-9)
Well. That’s precisely where the enemy wants our thought process to be. He knows if he can keep us in a state of doubt, unbelief, and harboring the feelings of unworthiness, then he’s won half the battle, and it allows him to overtake us.
Choose to believe God. Don’t give the enemy an inch because he will take all that he can. Remember, he’s a thief, liar, and deceiver. He cannot be trusted. (Ephesians 4:27)
Stand firm. Hold fast. Have faith. Trust God. And believe that our Father who is in heaven is who He says He is — the GREAT I AM. (Exodus 3:14-15)
Prayer: Lord, thank You for Your goodness and gracious love. I choose to believe what You say about me and my situation. Thank You for manifesting Your glory in my life. In the name of Jesus Christ, amen.
