Yes, God is in control. And yes, God can speak the Word and accomplish His will. But God doesn’t want robots. He doesn’t want a simulated environment. Instead, He wants to partner with us, of our own free will, to help Him accomplish His will on earth. (Philippians 2:1-16)
When God blesses us, it’s not just for our benefit. He blesses us so that we can be a blessing to others. It’s not about us. It’s about His Kingdom’s purpose and for His glory. (Isaiah 43:7)
We are the workmanship of God’s hands, and we’re made in His image. When others see us, they should see Jesus Christ. We should be a walking fruit basket, displaying the fruits of His Spirit — love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. (Ephesians 2:10; Galatians 5:22-23)
Take a moment to evaluate where your heart is with God. If you are struggling and His fruits are not evident in your interactions with others and in every area of your life, surrender to Him. If you lack in God’s grace, favor, and blessings, surrender to Him. Let our Heavenly Father do a remarkable work in you.
Prayer: Lord, thank You for Your goodness. Help me to love and care for others as You love and care for me. Show me what I can do for someone to let them know that You heard their prayers. In the name of Jesus Christ, amen.
