Power of His Might

We too often allow the enemy to torment us and tear us down. We allow him to speak words of destruction and death over our circumstances and in our lives. We yield to his temptation and accept whatever he hurls our way.

But we don’t have to stand for Satan’s antics. We can follow the example Jesus gave us. We can stand firm against the schemes of Satan. See. When Jesus encountered the devil in the wilderness, Jesus used Scripture to rebuke him and told him to flee. (Matthew 4:1-4)

Sure. Satan left for a while and returned. But Jesus rebuked him again with the Word. And every time after that, when Satan showed up, Jesus used His authority and the mighty Word to send the devil on his way. (Matthew 4:5-11)

Are you tired of being harassed by Satan? What are you waiting for? Well, send him on his way. Tell him to back up and back off. Tell him that you will no longer live in fear of what he can do to you because you serve a God that is mightier. You serve a God that gives you the authority to speak life over your circumstances and to walk in power, love, and with a sound mind. (2 Timothy 1:7)

Take your peace back. Take your joy back. Be encouraged in the Lord and the power of His might. Let Satan know that you are a child of the highest God, and you have been redeemed. Tell him that you choose to believe what Jesus says about you and that his lies are of none effect, so move out the way. In the name of Jesus Christ!!! (Ephesians 6:10)

Prayer: Lord, thank You for Your Word. Teach me how to use the Sword of the Spirit against my enemy. Lead, guide, and protect me in every area of my life. In the name of Jesus Christ, amen.
