I Win

We are in the midst of a spiritual battle, and Satan doesn’t want us to win. He is continuously looking for ways to derail us and get us off the course God has set before us. If he had it his way, he would keep us from being who God called us to be. (1 Peter 5:8)

Satan is the great accuser. He’s a con artist. He is always lying in wait for an opportunity to attack, destroy, or steal what God has for us. Satan wants to keep us in the dark and a state of confusion. He wants to keep us down. He wants us to walk with our heads hanging down in defeat. (Revelation 12:10)

But we are not defeated with the Lord on our side. We have to know that God is for us, so it doesn’t matter who is against us. We have to understand who we are in Christ Jesus and that His plans for us are not for disaster but to give us hope and a future. We can overcome the enemy by the blood of the Lamb and the words of our testimony. (Revelation 12:11)

We must resist the devil and surrender to God. When we spend time with the Lord and in His Word and learn His ways, we will be victorious. To the contrary, when we stray away, it gives the enemy an opportunity to overtake us. (James 4:7)

Therefore, we have to stay rooted in our Father’s love and wisdom. That way, when the adversary comes our way, we see him coming. We will be prepared with the Sword of the Spirit, which is the Word of God, to combat and cut through Satan’s lies and tricks and unravel his plans. (Ephesians 6:17)

We no longer have to listen to the lies of the enemy. With God, the devil’s lies will fall to the ground. We will filter through them, letting them go in one ear and out the other. We can tell Satan, I see you. I will not listen to you, but only follow the voice of my Heavenly Father and walk in the victory He planned for me in the very beginning. We can tell Satan, I win!!!

Prayer: Lord, thank You for Your faithfulness. As I surrender and trust You, give me godly wisdom and insight. Open my spiritual eyes so that I can see the enemy coming. Show me how to use the Sword of Your Spirit so that I can win. In the name of Jesus Christ, amen.
