Sometimes desperate times call for desperate prayers. Hannah was in what seemed like a desperate season in her life. So, one day she went to the temple and prayed with a great weeping. Like Hannah, we have to seek God humbly with our pain and frustration. We have to pour our heart out to touch the King’s heart, the same as Hannah did. (1 Samuel 1:10-18)
The Lord wants real. He calls us friends and friends share the truth in their hearts. He wants us to approach the throne of grace with fervency and truth. Yes! He already knows our heart, but He wants us to be honest and authentic in His presence. (Hebrews 4:15-16)
Do you find yourself holding back with God but pouring your heart out to friends? Do you trust your friends with secrets and concerns rather than entrusting them to the One that can work everything out on your behalf?
Sometimes it takes hitting rock bottom, getting desperate so that we look up and recognize God as Father and Friend. He wants you to recognize Him as God, Father, and Friend so that He can pour out His love, grace, and mercy in your life. (John 15:15-16)
God, Abba Father, our Friend, has not forgotten you. He’s waiting on you to seek Him in spirit and truth. (John 4:24)
What are you desperate for? Like Hannah, pursue Abba Father who is in heaven, hallowed be His name. Don’t give up in the face of tough times. Instead, dig deep and wail out and appeal to the Righteous King. He will overturn what the enemy meant for evil. (Romans 8:26-28)
Prayer: Lord, thank You for being my Righteous King. Lord, I need You now. Move in every area of my life, and overturn everything the enemy meant for evil in my life. In the name of Jesus Christ, amen.
