Shake It Off

If we’re not careful, the enemy will try to use circumstances or people in our lives to pull our attention away from our Heavenly Father. If we let him, the devil will use the hurt and pain we experience to take hold of our hearts and mind. Ultimately, robbing us of our peace, joy, and future the Lord has set before us. (Genesis 3)

However, we can choose to rebuke the enemy’s attempts to destroy our destiny. Because when we know who he is and how he operates, it sets us up to succeed in Christ. Therefore, when the devil’s distractions come, and they will, we have to recognize them and choose not to let him derail us. But instead, choose to trust God. (Ephesians 6:11)

The Lord is our strong tower and shelter from every storm. We can depend on Him to give us the protection and shelter we need. When we trust Him wholeheartedly and seek Him for His will, we are guaranteed victory over the enemy. (Psalms 61:3)

Have your eyes shifted to what the enemy wants you to see? Or are you focused on the Father who is sovereign and can do anything?  If you said yes, your eyes are on what the enemy wants you to see rather than trusting in the Lord, shake it off. Turn to our Heavenly Father, repent, and seek His guidance. And allow the Lord to lead you into His perfect will.

Prayer: Lord, thank You for Your sovereign will, which is perfect. Show me how the enemy operates in my life. Teach me how to deal with the enemy when he shows up in my circumstances. Let Your will be done in all things that pertain to me. In Jesus’ name, amen.
