One of the tactics our adversary Satan uses against us is to divert our attention away from our Heavenly Father’s promises. And if we’re not careful, prayerful, and alert of his many devices, we will find ourselves joyless, bitter, and often angry at our circumstances and those around us. This is not the life Jesus wants for us. (Matthew 26:41)
Jesus came into the world to save us from destruction and despair. He laid down His very life so that we may be free in Him. We don’t have to allow the challenges we face to overcome and overwhelm us. Instead, we can stand firm and move ahead by faith. (John 12:44-50)
When we operate from a place of trust in the Lord, we are guaranteed victory over our enemy. The Lord has promised to give us everything we need. We must simply believe and remain steadfast in His word. Moreover, we have to allow Him access to every aspect of our lives. (Deuteronomy 20:4)
Take a moment to ponder the following questions. Have you gotten distracted and off course? Have you allowed hurt and frustration to set up in your heart? Do you have unforgiveness lingering in your heart and mind?
If you answered yes to any of the self-reflection questions, turn it over to Jesus. Remember, He is all you need. Allow Him to lead you into your destiny.
Prayer: Lord, thank You for Your goodness and faithfulness in my life. As I surrender my life to you, lead me into victory in all areas of my life. In Jesus’ name, amen.
