Abide With Him

Jesus wants us to be whole and complete. But it requires us to truly fellowship with Him to see who He is and who we are in Him. We can’t just casually read about Him, but instead, we have to spend time in His word and abide with Him.

The more time we put into our relationship with Jesus, the more He reveals Himself to us. He only gives us as much of Him as we want. Just as He did for the two men, He met walking towards Emmaus.

The men walked and talked with Jesus but didn’t know who He was. But Jesus saw they wanted more of Him and what He had to offer in the way of friendship because they invited Him to stay. As Jesus resided with them, He blessed them and revealed more of Himself. (Luke 24:13-35)

Take a moment to reflect. Do you want more  — peace, joy, love, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control (Galatians‬ ‭5:22-23)? If you answered yes, Jesus is waiting for you. He wants to give you more of Himself. Abide with Him and taste and see that His fruits are good (Psalms 34:8).

Prayer: Lord, thank You for Your grace. Lord abide in me as I abide in You. In Jesus’ name, amen.
