Our decision to trust what God says over how we perceive things always gives us an advantage over our enemy, the devil. What we choose to focus on is what we’ll see. When we hone in on the negative aspect of our circumstances, that’s what we will see.
We must keep our hearts turned towards God’s truth. We have to operate with the notion that everything will work out for our good. Otherwise, we will miss the positive and the coming victory that our Heavenly Father has promised. (Romans 8:28)
Moreover, we have to let go of our thoughts and opinions about everything and exchange them for God’s viewpoint. When we accept our Father’s truth, the enemy takes notice. The devil realizes that his taunting us is of none effect. Sure. It won’t stop him from trying us, but he will always walk away defeated. Same as he did when he confronted Jesus in the wilderness. (Matthew 4:1-11)
Are you bombarded with negative thoughts and feelings? If so, surrender them to the Lord. Surrender it all to Him. Ask, knock, seek, pray, watch, worship, and believe not only that God can, but He will.
Remember, when you walk in the counsel of the Almighty, you find peace and joy. You also find that your outlook on your circumstances is much brighter because you know that you have victory in Jesus Christ. Hallelujah!
Prayer: Lord, thank You for Your sovereign wisdom. Reveal to me the truth of who I am in You. Show me how always to see Your hand in my situation. In Jesus’ name, amen.
When those negative thoughts come….put the Word on it and watch the “devil” flee!!!! AMEN!!!!
