Know That He Can

What do you do when you find yourself in a fiery situation?

We can respond with fear, worry, and anxiety or learn a lesson from Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego. Although their circumstances seemed hopeless, they chose to trust God. The three young men knew their help came from above. (Psalms 121:1-2)

Shadrach Meshach and Abednego stood up against king Nebuchadnezzar, their adversary, and stronghold. They knew that they did not need to defend themselves against their enemy. The three of them knew if they were thrown into the blazing furnace that our Heavenly Father, whom they served, was able to save them from their circumstances. (Daniel 3:8-20)

Like the young men, we have to know who we serve even when our circumstances seem to be all-consuming, and that we will not come out victorious. We have to have an absolute resolve that Jesus is in the midst of our ordeal, and He will deliver us.

Be encouraged! Trust our Father wholeheartedly. And when you look back, you will realize that you walked out of your fiery situation, proclaiming victory over your enemy.

Prayer: Lord, thank You for Your goodness and seeing me through every trial. Show me Your saving power in my fiery situation. Help me to keep my eyes on You despite what I’m walking through. Deliver me just as You did for Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego. In Jesus’ name, amen.
