We can learn through God’s word or by trial and error. In other words, we can learn through insight and revelation, or we take the hard road and learn through experience.
See, Adam and Eve chose the experience route over God’s word in the very beginning and suffered greatly. They knew the word of God but opted to learn through experience. Adam and Eve allowed Satan to bring their attention to the one thing they didn’t have, and they missed out on everything they had in God.
Adam and Eve’s desire to please self outweighed their desire to please God. They allowed Satan to rob them of their peace, joy, and happy home. They lost everything. (Genesis 3)
How often do we choose to follow our agenda rather than the path our Heavenly Father has set before us — His righteous way. We have to keep things in the right perspective and not choose the forbidden fruit. Instead, accept the fruits our Father has freely given. When we choose God’s truth rather than self-fulfillment, we’ll realize that we have all that we need in Him. (Galatians 5:22-25)
Sure. There is no argument that life’s journey can be challenging, but despite our challenges, we have to know that we have victory in Christ Jesus. When we realize that God can be trusted in all things, and He is faithful to give us everything we need, we overcome. We overcome with revelation rather than tribulation. And we defeat the enemy at his own game of deception and desire. We get to say to our enemy, game over, I win.
Prayer: Lord, thank You for Your insight. Help me always to choose Your path in all things. In Jesus’ name, amen.
