Too often, people get locked into their past. They relive their bad decisions and ponder the what-ifs and what could have been scenarios in their life. They stay stuck in the past, not realizing that it excites our enemy because his main goal is to bring about destruction to everyone and everything. (John 10:10)
But see, people, don’t have to be defeated. If only they would stand on the truth of our Heavenly Father’s word to gain victory over our enemy Satan. It only takes surrender, surrendering everything to our Lord and Savior.
Take a moment to reflect. Have your past choices arrested you? Or are you living well in Christ Jesus? If you’re not living a life filled with the Lord’s fruits — peace, joy, love, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control (Galatians 5:22-23). It’s not too late to enjoy the sweetness of His fruits, taste and see that He is good (Psalms 34:8).
Remember, Jesus gave Himself for our sins to set us free from the bondage that sin causes. He wants us to live free in Him, believing that we are free despite our past mistakes. (Galatians 1:4)
Now is the time to find victory in the Father. Seek Him for what you need. Search the Scriptures for His faithful promises. Hold on to His promises. And then allow His word to manifest itself and transform your life into all that He has planned for you.
God’s plans for You are plans not to harm you but give you hope and a future. Don’t allow the enemy to rule over another day in your life. But instead, let the Holy Spirit reign in your life. Step into the freedom you’ve long for your entire life. (Jeremiah 29:11)
Prayer: Lord, thank You for Your faithfulness. Help me to align my thoughts with the truth of Your word. Show me how to step into the plans You have for me so that I’m victorious in everything I do. In Jesus’ name, amen.
