Blessed Assurance

Some of the things we face are painful beyond words. Circumstances that make our heartache and bring us to our knees. Situations and circumstances cause us to cry what seems like every tear in our body. (Matthew 26:36-39)

We seek answers from the Lord, but it seems that He’s not listening. So we wait and push through. All while the enemy is whispering in our ear, telling lies trying to cast doubt about our Heavenly Father’s intentions (Genesis 3:1-5). Yet we continue to push through. (Matthew 26:42-44)

But then we reach a point where we can’t seem to move forward. We feel like we just can’t make it. We want to throw in the towel. Are you in one of those seasons? Are you at your breaking point? Well. Try Jesus. And if you’re not, try Jesus. Root yourself in Him so that you will have someone to hold onto when times get tough. He is your blessed assurance. 

Surrender it all to the Lord. Cry out to Him as king David did. Let Him be Almighty in your life. Hold fast to His promises that He will never leave nor forsake you. And as you take refuge in our Father, he will cover and preserve you. Not only that, but you will also see the salvation of the LORD in your life. (Psalms 91:1-4)

Prayer: Lord, thank You for being a present help and never leaving nor forsaking me. Help me to rest in You. Give me Your peace that surpasses all understanding. In Jesus’ name, amen.
