Remove The Mask

We can pull the wool over people’s eyes, but we can’t fool God. He is omnipresent, so He sees everything and knows everything. We can’t get anything past Him. So it’s in our best interest to be open and honest with Him, putting it all out in the open, and laying it at His feet. (Psalms 139)

We have to stop hiding behind the mask that tells everyone that we’re okay. And stop trying to fool ourselves into believing that we’re good. When in fact, we know we’re struggling, afraid, and uncertain which path to take.

Our Heavenly Father wants to be present in our circumstances. He’s waiting for us to seek His counsel. We simply have to leave our pride at the door. Then seek the Lord for what we need.

When we operate from a place of vulnerability and need, it allows our Heavenly Father to help us work out whatever we think we’re hiding. He will show up and move heaven and earth to get us where He wants us to be.

Take a moment and reflect. Is there any area of your life that you are trying to hide from God? Insecurity? Loneliness ? Addiction? Finances? Alcoholism? Thought-life? Pornography? Adultery? Troubled marriage? Health? Job? School? Inappropriate relationship? Lying? Gossiping?

So what’s holding you back from grabbing ahold of our Heavenly Father’s unchanging hand? Whatever it is, confess it to Jesus. Then humble yourself, repent, turn from that thing that has a hold of you, and ask Him for what you need. And watch for the salvation of the Lord. He will help you to remove your mask and help you to get back on track. (2 Chronicles 7:14)

Prayer: Lord, thank You for Your grace. Show me any masks that I need to remove. Then heal that area of my life and show me Your salvation and grace. In Jesus’ name, amen.
