Our Heavenly Father is holy and righteous. And every decision we make should be made with God at the center. We have to bring our thoughts under subjection to Christ and in-line with His nature and His truth. What this means is that we have to let godly wisdom override our worldly knowledge. (2 Corinthians 10:4-5)
When we surrender our worldly ideologies and allow the Holy Spirit to renew our minds and be led by Him, we will be challenged and persecuted in many cases. But it’s okay. We don’t have to argue, and we don’t have to be afraid. We can call out to our righteous Father and wait for Him to show us the way. We simply have to remain calm, trust Him, and He will fight our battles. And before we know it, our enemies will become a distant memory. (Exodus 14:13-14)
Sure. No one wants to be an outsider. Nor do they want to be accused of being so heavenly minded that they are no earthly good. But hold to what you know is right, and that’s God’s word and the building up of His kingdom. So no matter what opposition you face for standing for what’s good and right, stand for God, and He will stand with you.
Remember, no weapon formed against you will prosper (Isaiah 54:17). Our Heavenly Father is your sustaining power. He is your strength and place of refuge.
Prayer: Lord, thank You for being a righteous and holy God. Thank You, Jesus, for being my example of living a life surrendered to You. Help me to follow your lead in everything I do. In Jesus’ name, amen.
