When we understand the craftiness and subtle ways of our enemy, we can thwart his plans. We don’t have to let the enemy take up residence in our mind. But instead, surrender our worry to our Heavenly Father and pray about everything. We can tell the Lord what we need and thank Him for all He has already done. (Philippians 4:6)
We have to choose not to dwell on negative things because it can cause us to worry and wain in our faith. But when we decide to continue to think about lovely, admirable, right, pure, and steadfast things, the peace of God will be with us. Because what we think about the most shapes our outlook on our life. (Philippians 4:8-9)
The thoughts you fill your mind with are crucial, so fill them with God’s promises. The more you fill your mind and spirit with the Word, before you know it, you will experience God’s complete peace, which exceeds anything you can understand.
Search the scriptures for our Heavenly Father’s promises and then meditate on them often and see the Lord’s salvation in your life. Here are a few to get you started.
~ God will sustain you. (Psalms 55:22)
~ God’s peace will guard your heart. (Philippians 4:7)
~ God will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go. (Psalms 32:8)
~ God is your refuge and strength, your help in times of need. (Psalms 46:1)
Prayer: Lord, thank You for Your infallible Word. Help me to fill my thought life with more of You. And show me Your salvation. In Jesus’ name, amen.
