No matter how many times we mess up, Jesus still loves us. He fought and overcame the war against sin. Therefore, we overcome disgrace because of the grace and love Jesus provides. However, this does not give us a free pass to knowingly sin against our gracious Father. (John 16:33)
When we trust Jesus as Lord and Savior of our life, we should become more like Him day by day. We have to put aside our olds ways and desires and allow His truth to transform us into who He has called us to be. Our mindset and how we move through life should mirror the truth and character of our Heavenly Father. (Ephesians 4:22-24)
When we accept Christ as our Savior, we become His children and are representatives of Him. Therefore, when people interact with us, they should see a noticeable difference in our actions and reactions. We should not walk and talk as those who choose to serve their own desires rather than please our Holy Father. (Leviticus 10:10)
No matter the circumstances, God’s truth should shine through and point others to Him. Because we never know, our character can draw in or drive people away from living their life for God. (John 12:32)
So when we don’t get it right, we can’t allow the enemy to make us feel unworthy and get us off track. Instead, we have to ask our Heavenly Father for forgiveness, and when needed, ask those who we offend to forgive us. Then move forward in Christ knowing that we have victory because He overcame the world for us.
Prayer: Lord, thank You for Your goodness and grace. Teach me Your ways. Help me to represent you in everything I do. In Jesus’ name, amen.
