God’s Truth

Jesus didn’t promise us a life without trouble, but He did guarantee us His peace and to be with us through it all (John 16:33). In understanding that, we can move forward with an assurance that we will be victorious no matter the circumstances if we walk in obedience to our Father’s will.

However, Satan wants us to fail. Our enemy is good at coming to us with part-truth, the same as he did in the Garden of Eden. His ultimate goal was to cast doubt on God’s word. He wants to do the same thing in our life. (Genesis 3:1-5)

The devil wants us to live contrary to what God has promised us. He wants us to live in fear and a constant state of confusion and chaos and question the faithfulness of our Heavenly Father.

If we let the enemy have his way, he will have us believe that our gracious and loving Father is withholding His best. And make us think that God can’t be trusted. But we can learn a valuable lesson from Jesus. Jesus shined total truth on the part-truth that Satan spewed. (Luke 4:1-13)

When the devil comes to you with half-truths, choose to trust God and His faithfulness. Rebuke the enemy, disregard his lies, speak the truth of God’s word in your life, and allow God’s word to reign in your life.

Prayer: Lord, thank You for Your truth. Help me to rebuke the enemy lies so that I can live the life you have planned for me.  In Jesus’ name, amen.
