When we’re going through tough times too often, we give in to fear and imagine the absolute worst is going to happen. We put all our focus on external factors. We worry about every little thing, which in turn robs us of our peace and joy.
Satan wants us to doubt God and His intentions, just as he made Adam and Eve do in the very beginning (Genesis 3:1-6).
When we worry, it makes our enemy happy because it is his job to steal, destroy, and kill our faith and trust in our Heavenly Father. The reality is that Satan continues to use the same ole’ bag of tricks to disturb our peace, steal our joy, and take what God has promised us — an abundant life in Christ. (John 10:10)
However, we do not have to continue the cycle. We can thwart the enemy’s plan whenever we choose to reflect on God and His faithfulness. When we meditate on God’s word and all that He has brought us through, we realize that He always come through and work things out for His glory.
Therefore, fear not! Our Heavenly Father is trustworthy. His sustaining power will reset, restore, and refresh you if you allow Him to work on your behalf (Jeremiah 31:25).
Prayer: Lord, thank You for being my sustaining power. As I trust in You and seek Your righteousness, reset, restore, and refresh my soul. In Jesus’ name, amen.
