It’s challenging to keep a positive outlook when there is so much uncertainty in the world. And it’s even more challenging when we walk through various trials. But despite what’s going on externally, we can be encouraged because of God’s wonderful promises.
Yes. We can find encouragement in various world views, but it’s only temporary because world views are just that — world views. They change and evolve based on human reasoning and societal norms. And unless we take hold of our Father’s word and His promises, we cannot and will not find internal fulfillment. (Romans 12:2)
We have to have a real encounter with the Holy Spirit’s moving within our hearts, and He reveals His truth to us that we can say that we are filled with His supernatural peace and joy. Peace and joy that human reasoning cannot give nor take away. (John 14:27)
Therefore, don’t allow the enemy to rob you of your peace and joy. Remember, he’s a thief that sets out to steal, destroy, and kill (John 10:10). He wants you in a state of confusion and having no faith in our Heavenly Father because of your external circumstances. But you don’t have to accept his lies but rather reject them and choose to trust God.
God is not holding out on you. He wants what’s best for you. And though you battle against the darkness, you are filled with our Father’s light. A light that will light your path and make your path straight because He’s the lifter of your head. (Psalms 3:3)
Prayer: Lord, thank You for Your wonderful promise that I am victorious. Reveal the truth of Your word within my heart and mind. Help me to reject the lies of the enemy and to trust in You alone. In Jesus’ name, amen.
