Many of us feel we’ve messed up too badly and can’t be loved by or used by God. This is a misconception — simply put, wrong thinking.
When we look in the Bible, God continually used people who had transgressed against Him — Moses, David, Abraham, Apostle Paul. However, like them, the requirement is that we repent, which means to stop doing what we have been doing, turn away from sin, and start again.
Heartfelt repentance frees us from our guilt and shame. When we understand who we are in Christ, it cancels the debt that we perceive we owe. It releases us from our guilt-ridden and shame-filled heart. Jesus’ death on the cross relieved us of our sin debt. He paid the ultimate price, His blood, for the sins of the world. (1 John 2:1-2)
Don’t allow the enemy to keep you bound, depressed, oppressed, and suppressed. And thinking you are unworthy to be loved by and used by God. Remember, you can’t serve enough or give enough. Just know that you are enough in the eyes of our Heavenly Father.
Walk in the freedom of God’s truth. Trust Him and choose to love Him wholeheartedly. He will lead you to victory because, in all things, God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to His purpose. (Romans 8:28)
Prayer: Lord, thank You for Your shed blood and Your sacrificial atonement on the cross for me. I repent of my transgressions against You. Thank You for delivering me from any guilt or shame I hold in my heart. Help me to understand that there is no condemnation in You, I’m forgiven, and I’m enough in Your eyes. In Jesus’ name, amen.
