Emotional support and generosity are so important, especially in a world with so much negativity and people in need. When we take time and lend a helping hand or perhaps a listening ear to someone in need, we can have a lasting impact on their life.
As children of God, we are called to help one another (Deuteronomy 15:11). We should sow into His kingdom, bearing in mind that what we do for others is a reflection of our Heavenly Father.
Being gracious to one another costs absolutely nothing. We might be the turning point in someone’s life whereby they seek to find the Jesus we know.
Take a moment to reflect. Do you show the heart of God to others when you interact with them? Your family, spouse, co-workers, friends, grocery clerk, florist, waiter, and even strangers.
Let your light shine before others so that they might see your good deeds and glorify our Father in heaven (Matthew 5:16).
Prayer: Lord, thank You for being my comforter. Thank You for Your generosity. Help me to serve others with Your heart. Let me be a light that points others to You. In Jesus’ name, amen.
