Burden Bearer

Amid this global pandemic and economic uncertainty, it can cause many to fear the unknown. How will I pay rent, pay my bills, eat, stay healthy, take care of my family, or simply make it day-to-day?

Our individual circumstances will vary during this uncertain time, but God hasn’t changed. Jesus is the same yesterday, today, and forever (Hebrews 13:8). He is our source and provider.

We are called to follow Jesus and trust Him with our circumstances, just as the first disciples did. Think about it. When God called the first disciples, they left their economic security to follow Him. They were all in and had no idea where they were going. But they trusted in Jesus and His plan.

The disciples faced various situations, and at times their faith was shaky at best because they would focus on their circumstances rather than focusing on the Lord. However, when they returned their focus back to God, everything always worked out for their good because they loved Him and was called according to His purpose (Romans 8:28).

Turn your set of circumstances and worry over to God. Let Him be your burden bearer. His shoulders are much broader than yours. Trust in our Heavenly Father, and He will sustain you, for is He good. (Psalms 55:22)

Prayer: Lord, thank You for Your goodness. Thank You for upholding me with Your right hand of righteousness. Help me to turn everything over to You. Show me how not to worry but trust in You. In Jesus’ name, amen.
