Are you facing a difficult situation that seems hopeless? Health crisis. Loneliness. Failed relationship. Financial hardship. Loss of a job. Whatever it is, with God, all things are possible (Matthew 19:26). Live in the truth of His word because His word will never fail.
Matthew 14 tells us that Peter was in a storm and called out to the Lord. Jesus told him to step out of the boat and come to Me. Although the storm surrounded Peter, he looked to Jesus and stepped out of the boat.
After Peter got out of the boat, he took his focus off of Jesus, and he began to sink. But, Peter knew enough about our Father and called out to Him. When he called out to Jesus, it turned his focus back to the One that could save him. And Jesus immediately reached out and grabbed his hand. They got into the boat, and the storm ceased.
Although you may be facing what seems impossible, when you pray to the Lord and call out for His help, obey Him. See, even when it didn’t make sense, Peter did just what Jesus said — come to Me. Peter was doing just fine until he lost sight of his next step. But in God’s mercy, when Peter called out, He immediately came to his rescue. God will do the same for you.
Fear will sink you. Faith will carry you. Although your journey seems impossible, focus ahead with laser precision. Take one step, then another, and another keeping your eyes fixed on Jesus, our Lord, and Savior, and know that there is safety in Him. He is your strength and redeemer.
Prayer: Lord, thank You for being my God. Show me Your salvation and redeem me from what seems to be an impossible situation in my life. I place my trust in You and Your saving power. In Jesus’ name, amen.
Amen,
