Giants Shall Fall

We can learn a lot from the life of king David. He faced an actual giant, committed adultery, had failed relationships, stared betrayal in the face, dealt with rebellious and defiant children, and he was on the run for his life for a while, which are only a few of life’s giants he faced.

However, despite the circumstances king David experienced in his life, he knew that God was far greater than the giants that he faced. See David focused more on the One he knew would bring him victory and less on the enemies and challenges he faced. David kept his gaze upon the true living God.

Like king David, we can’t allow fear to overcome our faith in God because we are equipped with all that we need, and that is our God and His Word.

God has given us His full armor. We can march forward in victory with our feet fitted with the gospel of peace and stand firm against our circumstances, wearing the belt of truth and breastplate of righteousness. And when the enemy attacks, we have the helmet of salvation, the shield of faith and word of God to protect us from every blow. (Ephesians 6:10-18)

Therefore, despite the crisis you may be facing right now, know that God is far greater than that giant. He’s greater than addictions. He’s stronger than the strongholds in your mind. God’s more powerful than your persecutors. He’s mightier than any health condition.

Whatever giants you’re facing, turn them over to our Heavenly Father right now. Turn to the One that has all solutions. By faith march ahead, and our Shepherd, Jesus, whose the Chief Cornerstone, will help you to defeat the giants in your life. You’ve already won because God has no rivals (Nahum 1:2-8). Trust Him and watch, your giants shall fall!

Prayer: Lord, thank You for being my God. Help me to surrender my giants into Your mighty hands. Show me Your salvation and saving power. Give me Your peace that surpasses my understanding. In Jesus’ name, amen.
