Hope Renewed

During uncertain times, it’s easy to question our faith. If we’re not careful, we will replace the joy and peace Jesus has given us with discouragement and fear. So, what can we do as believers in response to the uncertainties we face?

First, we remember that our Heavenly Father will take care of us. Scripture reminds us not to be discouraged or afraid because the battle is not ours but the Lord (2 Chronicles 20:15).

Does that mean we just walk around unbothered by what’s going on around us? No, of course not! Our response in the wake of uncertainty isn’t to ignore our concerns. Instead, we should acknowledge them and release all negative feelings by turning them over to our Savior because he cares for us (1 Peter 5:7). He can handle it way better than we can.

Remember, we don’t have to live without hope and peace because we know what Jesus did for us and what He can do through us.

Be encouraged and turn all your worries and fears over to our Father, and pray, tell Him what you need, and thank Him for all He has done. Allow Him to guard your heart and mind, and He will give you peace that surpasses all understanding. (Philippians 4:6-7)

Our peace and resolve in Christ will draw others to His peace. We can be confident knowing that He is always with us. God will make all wrongs right one day. So when things look a little shaky, rest in Christ, and remember we have an unshakable hope that does not change based on our present circumstances. God is our hope. Let Him renew hope in you.

Prayer: Lord, thank You for being my hope. Help me to release all feelings of doubt and fear. Restore in me Your hope, joy, and peace. Thank You for a renewed hope in You. In Jesus’ name, amen.
