The enemy of our soul, Satan, tells lies. He did this very thing to Adam and Eve in the Garden of Eden, which ultimately caused them to be emotionally, spiritually, and physically separated from God (Genesis 3).
Our adversary knows that our hearts are easy prey when our problems seem bigger than God can handle. He has no new tricks, and he uses the same tactics that he used then on us today to bring about division in our relationship with God. He casts doubt in our heart and mind that God is holding out on us and that God can’t be trusted.
But we don’t have to be deceived. When our physical eyesight gets fuzzy we go to the optometrist to get our vision tested, and we are prescribed lenses to resolve our vision problems.
Therefore, when our spiritual eyesight gets out of focus, we can go to Scripture and trust the Holy Spirit to lead us into all truth (John 16:13). The Holy Spirit will do what we can’t do on our own, and that is restore our sight to 20/20 — perfect vision. God will provide us insight and foresight so that we can overcome whatever it is that we are facing.
Have your spiritual eyes grown dim? Don’t be deceived. Fight for sight! Go to the One that can put everything into perfect focus — 20/20 vision.
Prayer: Lord thank You for being my Great Physician. Give me insight and foresight so that I can see clearly. Show me everything I need to see physically and spiritually so that I might be victorious in every area of my life. In Jesus’ name, amen.
